Volkswagen says "NO" to a hypothetical Polo R
Many hopes were placed on a hypothetical
Audi Polo R, a vehicle that appeared in our minds after learning that Audi was developing an eccentric yet attractive car called Audi S1.
Well, all of this has ultimately fallen through, at least for now, and an attractive Volkswagen Polo R, a small sporty hatchback supposedly equipped with permanent all-wheel drive and more than 210 horsepower, will not make an appearance on the market.
Unfortunately, that won’t be the case, since neither Audi nor Volkswagen plans to use the all-wheel-drive platform of the Audi A1 to create an extreme version of the Polo, so enthusiasts of this small model will have to settle for the 180 hp Polo GTI as the most powerful version.
Without further ado, here is the gallery of the Volkswagen Polo GTI. Something is better than nothing.
