The eighth generation of the Volkswagen Golf will arrive at dealerships during the first quarter of 2020. Due to a delay in its production and, consequently, in its market launch, the mystery surrounding the price of the new Volkswagen Golf is partially being resolved thanks to the announcement of the RRP for the most affordable version.

And so the benchmark compact, which already has more than forty years behind it, is one of the best-selling models in Europe every year, offering everything from the most equipped and expensive versions down to the most basic and cheapest specifications.

For now, then, we will settle for knowing the price of the cheapest 2020 Volkswagen Golf, which starts at €22,900, a figure established after discounts are applied and provided the brand’s financing conditions are accepted.

For this price, the mechanical setup features the most modest engine, the 1-litre TSI unit producing 110 CV, a petrol engine that, at this price, is inevitably paired with a manual gearbox.

Furthermore, it will ride on alloy wheels measuring 16 inches in diameter, as well as headlights with LED lighting technology and daytime running lights.

Although we already know the range of this 2020 car, the rest of the prices have not yet been announced. This will happen in a few weeks, since bookings can be made once the starting prices of each version are disclosed, and it could even be that the price of the expected Volkswagen Golf GTI for 2021 is revealed in advance.
