Will the BMW be the original M1?

A test mule was spotted a couple of days ago in Germany, and as you can see, the car is camouflaged in the classic psychedelic black-and-white color scheme.

The car’s features can be made out at a glance, and I think we all agree it is one of the original M1 models from the 1970s. However, when the camera moves closer to the sports car to look at the interior, it is completely covered.

To settle our doubts, we began gathering opinions from various forums, and the conclusion is clear: it is an advertising strategy to build expectations among users for the development of a new supercar from the German manufacturer.
