Would you like to know the VinFast models that will arrive in Europe? Here are the VF6 and VF7

The Vietnamese brand plans to enter the European market in March, so it is already showing the models it will offer: a compact SUV and a larger one.

A few months ago it was announced that the arrival of VinFast’s models already had a date for their arrival in Spain. The brand expects that from March onwards reservation books will open and the first European customers will be able to start ordering their cars. They will be two electric models, positioned in the B and C segments, named VF6 and VF7.

You may be interested in these two electric vehicles, which come from a market that had not yet reached our continent, Vietnam. This makes them very exotic, and many people will be keen to discover what this brand offers with these first two models.

VF6, an attractive compact SUV

The first of the two models to debut in Europe is the VF6. This compact SUV has proportions close to the Volkswagen ID.3, so it is a fairly affordable car for the city. It measures 4.29 metres long, 1.82 metres wide and 1.59 metres high, with a wheelbase of 2.73 metres.

The manufacturer has indicated that there will be two versions available, ECO and PLUS. Both will feature the same battery pack, of 59.6 kWh. The ECO version uses an electric motor delivering 130 kW and maximum torque of 250 Nm. With this setup it achieves a range of 399 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.

As for the PLUS version, the motor offers a power output of 150 kW and maximum torque of 310 Nm. In exchange for this higher power, its range drops to 381 kilometres, also on the WLTP cycle.

VF7, larger size and more presence

The VF7 is an SUV larger than the VF6. It is 4.55 metres long, 1.89 metres wide and 1.64 metres high. The wheelbase reaches 2.84 metres, which provides more interior space than the VF6. It will also be available in two versions, the same as the VF6, that is, ECO and PLUS.

The battery pack is 75.3 kWh, but the big difference lies in its electric motor. The entry-level version offers a power output of 150 kW and maximum torque of 310 Nm. This allows the energy stored in the batteries to deliver a range of 450 kilometres on the WLTP cycle.

In this case the PLUS version has all-wheel drive, thanks to two motors that together deliver a total output of 260 kW, with maximum torque of 500 Nm. Here, the battery offers a range of 431 kilometres.

The expectations VinFast has set for the European market are quite optimistic, as they want to become a benchmark for drivers who want to move towards electric mobility with two models that offer solutions for everyone and make up an interesting range. Young drivers who appreciate technology and electric mobility are the main target for the Asian company.
