XPENG expands its range of electric vehicles in Europe with the G6 Coupé SUV
XPENG has yet to specify which European countries the G6 will be sold in. However, the company has already stated its intention to start operations in Germany next month
The Chinese manufacturer has just announced the launch of a new electric model in the European market, its third in this case. The XPENG G6, on sale in China since last year, will also arrive in Europe during the third quarter of this year. The company says it will begin accepting orders from next May.
For the time being, the price of this SUV Coupé from the Chinese manufacturer in Europe is unknown, but the company has committed to revealing this information at the end of this same month of April, just before it begins accepting orders. In China, XPENG began selling the G6 last summer. There it is available from 209,000 yuan, which amounts to around 26,600 euros at current exchange rates.

The G6 is the first electric vehicle from the Chinese manufacturer with an 800V architecture, using the SEPA 2.0 platform for this purpose. The entry version features a single 190 kW motor and 440 Nm of torque on the rear axle. XPENG also offers a version with greater range that increases the power of its single motor to 210 kW and 440 Nm of torque, as well as another version with all-wheel drive and dual electric motors with a combined output of 350 kW and 660 Nm of torque.
As for the available battery packs, there are two. The standard-range pack has a capacity of 66 kWh and uses LFP cells. In this case, the manufacturer promises a WLTP range of up to 435 km. The larger-capacity battery pack goes up to 87.5 kWh, theoretically offering a WLTP range of between 550 and 570 km. When recharging, the G6 supports up to 280 kW thanks to its 800V architecture. This makes it possible to increase the state of charge from 10 to 80 percent in less than 20 minutes.
Other points of interest
From the technical specification sheet of this electric model, the 571-litre boot capacity stands out. XPENG has not disclosed the vehicle’s dimensions, but we do know its wheelbase is 2.89 metres. In any case, assuming the dimensions are the same as those of the model sold in China, its length will be 4.75 metres, by 1.92 metres wide and 1.65 metres high.

Among the equipment that comes with the vehicle, the standard fitment of a heat pump, V2L connector, 20-inch wheels with Michelin tyres, a large panoramic glass roof, heated seats front and rear and ventilated seats at the front, a 50 W wireless charger for mobile devices, 4 USB ports and an audio system with 18 speakers and 960 W in total stand out. The only optional equipment available is the paint colour and the towbar.
