Xpeng launches sales of some of its electric models in Finland

With the start of operations in Finland, Xpeng seeks to establish itself as a relevant player in the European market, offering competitive alternatives to other well-established brands in terms of technology and price.

The Chinese manufacturer Xpeng has just expanded its presence in the European market with the start of commercial operations in Finland. In this Scandinavian country, the company will initially focus on its electric SUVs, which means that its P7 electric saloon will not go on sale, at least for now.

Xpeng is set to market its Stromer G6 and G9 electric SUVs in Finland with the collaboration of Inchcape Motors Finland, a company in this Scandinavian country dedicated to importing vehicles since the 1990s, which has previously worked with Mazda and Jaguar Land Rover.

Xpeng G6 Europe 00002

The Xpeng G6 arrives on the Finnish market with a starting price of 48,290 euros, although the launch limited edition will cost 2,500 euros less and go on sale from 45,790 euros. Meanwhile, those interested in the G9 SUV will have to pay at least 62,900 euros to park one in their garage. Xpeng will also market a launch edition of this model, but in this case it will be somewhat more expensive, available from 75,900 euros.

Deliveries of both models are expected to begin at the end of this same month of February and, to boost sales, the Chinese manufacturer plans to open a showroom in the capital, Helsinki, which will be followed by another in the city of Espoo, where customers can come to see and test the brand’s vehicles in person, as well as ask any questions they may have before making a purchase.

Price and available versions

Xpeng will market three versions of the G6 in this market: a standard version with an LFP battery at the aforementioned starting price of 48,290 euros, a long-range variant equipped with an NMC battery pack and a single electric motor on the rear axle, for which you will pay 49,990 euros and, finally, at the top of the range, a Performance version with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive for 54,390 euros.

Likewise, the G9 SUV will initially be offered in two versions. The entry-level one will cost 62,900 euros, as already mentioned. Meanwhile, the launch edition corresponds to the Performance version and will cost 75,900 euros.

Following the announcement of Xpeng’s start of operations in the Finnish market, Stefan Andström, current CEO of Inchcape Motors Finland, has stated that the value offered by these two electric SUVs -the G6 and the G9- makes, in his opinion, Xpeng an exceptionally attractive option for both private drivers and businesses.
