Zeekr expands its presence to Eastern Europe
Management at Zeekr sees great growth potential in Eastern Europe, where the transition to electric mobility is gaining ground day by day.
Having established itself in Central European countries and Scandinavia, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, the premium electric vehicle brand of Chinese giant Geely has now set its sights on Eastern Europe. More specifically, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia and Bulgaria.
To carry out this expansion, Zeekr has forged a strategic alliance with SEEAG –South East Europe Automotive Group-, an importer with three decades of experience in the region. SEEAG, which already works with other Geely brands such as Volvo and Lynk & Co, will be in charge of distributing and providing services for the Zeekr 001, Zeekr X and Zeekr 7X models. This agreement will allow the Chinese brand to enter Eastern Europe through a solid distribution network adapted to local needs.

These are the steps Zeekr will follow in Eastern Europe
The brand’s expansion plan will kick off with the opening of a dealership in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, as a starting point. Subsequently, arrival in other major cities in the region is planned. Sales will begin this very October, and the first vehicle deliveries are expected to take place towards the end of the year. The Chinese premium electric vehicle manufacturer considers this the right path to follow, based on the growing interest in electric mobility in these markets.
In Slovenia, for example, the adoption of electric vehicles has grown significantly, with the market share of this type of car rising to 9.1 percent in the first half of 2025, compared with 5.8 percent in the same period of the previous year. Bulgaria and Croatia, for their part, are also making progress in this area, especially in the development of charging infrastructure. Both countries already rank among the top ten in Europe in terms of installed charging capacity per registered electric vehicle. In addition, the Croatian government has introduced financial incentives for companies that add electric vehicles to their fleets, which should noticeably boost demand for this type of car.

SEEAG’s experience in marketing premium vehicles and its knowledge of the electric vehicle market should become a key factor for Zeekr to position itself in these European markets, and thus gain greater weight on the continent as a whole.
