The level of efficiency that thermal engines are reaching is something we could not have imagined just a few years ago, to the point of breaking consumption and range records.

This is the case of the new engine now available in the second generation of the Peugeot 308. It is a small three-cylinder unit with 130 CV capable of achieving spectacular consumption figures.

Lately Peugeot has been receiving nothing but good news about the 308. If a few days ago it announced the increase in production of this model due to its strong commercial reception, today it is the turn of a new petrol engine that will delight the most demanding drivers.

Under the Puretech family umbrella, the new 1.2 e-THP engine is launched, with a power output of 130 CV. However, despite delivering good performance and output figures, the key point of this engine is efficiency.

Peugeot is aware of this, and that is why, under the supervision of UTAC, it organised a test at the Almería circuit, Spain, obtaining the results we already know.
After 32 hours of driving and consuming the entire 51.4-litre tank, the figures speak for themselves: 1,810 km covered with an average consumption of 2.8 litres per 100 kilometres.

In this way, it becomes one of the most fuel-efficient petrol vehicles in automotive history, proving that thermal engines still have plenty of life left in them.

Se les olvida poner a qué velocidad iba:
    1.810 km en 32h = 56 km/h.
    Vamos venga, no me jodas

Tal y como comentamos en el artículo, hablamos de una prueba realizada dentro de un circuito cerrado, lo que presupone la búsqueda de las condiciones más propicias para lograr un consumo de récord.

De todas maneras, buen apunte 😉

      Un saludo!
