A Alfa Romeo GTV bi-motor appears

Every now and then, only now and then, there appear truly spectacular builds, perhaps not so much for the performance of the vehicles presented, but precisely for their peculiarity or for the merit of their owners in carrying out the modifications practically in their home garages.
Along these lines, today I want to tell you the story of this peculiar Alfa Romeo GTV by Stephan Lenior, a Dutchman for whom the power of his legendary Alfa Romeo must have seemed far too small, so in regard to the performance offered by the V6 of his little Alfa he decided to add that of another six-cylinder V-engine block mounted on the rear axle.
Truth be told, a project of this scale is one of those that are easier to recount than to bring to reality, since it is not very simple to install not only a 3.2-litre V6 on the rear axle, but also, for everything to work flawlessly, various elements have had to be reinforced, installing for example the subframe and suspension of a Alfa Romeo 166.

What is not entirely clear to me is the matter of the gearbox, since synchronising both V6s must be an arduous task. Because of this, as far as I can see, the owner has decided to install two gearboxes, both taken from Lancia Kappa 2.4 JTDs and controlled by individual gear levers.
Furthermore, the entire rear drivetrain has had to be reinforced to safely withstand not only the power of the new V6, but also its considerable weight, as well as to improve the braking system more or less correctly. To this end, the brake setup from the front axle of the Alfa 166 has been fitted to the rear axle.
Finally, as is only logical in this type of build, all the cabin accessories have been removed, such as the radio, air conditioning, soundproofing…. With all this work and according to its owner, this Alfa Romeo GTV Bi-Motore is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, or breaking the 200 km/h barrier in 14 seconds, reaching a theoretical top speed of 290 km/h, although for safety reasons this last figure has not been personally verified by Stephan.
