A LaFerrari going off-road: sacrilege or genius?
One of the 499 Ferrari LaFerrari has decided to pull on its muddy boots and go for a drive through the mud. Are we looking at sacrilege or genius?

Many motoring enthusiasts accuse owners of supercars of not using these vehicles as they should. The owner of this spectacular Ferrari LaFerrari, tired of such accusations against the exclusive club to which he belongs, has decided to take a stand and use his hypercar in a way that is sure to stir up some controversy. This is because one of the most exclusive and highly regarded creations from the Prancing Horse manufacturer has gone for a drive across the countryside on one of those rainy days in England.
To be more precise, the reason for this video is that the guys from Heveningham Concours invited YouTuber TheTFJJ to film part of the promotion for this year’s elegance competition. However, the owner of the LaFerrari decided to have far more fun with his masterpiece of Italian engineering.
Sacrilege or genius?
Surely many will be outraged to see this Ferrari caked in mud, splashing through deep puddles with a car of its stature and performing frantic donuts on the grass. Yet even though this hypercar was not specifically designed for such a task, there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a LaFerrari out enjoying a proper drive rather than gathering dust at the back of a garage.

That said, there are certainly more orthodox and logical ways to give that naturally aspirated V12 the life it deserves, such as on a winding back road or on the track itself, its natural habitat. The Ferrari LaFerrari is powered by a 6.2-litre V12 which, assisted by a hybrid system, produces a staggering 963 CV and 900 Nm of torque.
No damage to lament
This would not be the first time a car of the calibre of the Ferrari LaFerrari suffered irreversible damage due to reckless use by its owners. However, this example emerged from its off-road adventure unscathed, showing only a few scratches on the front and a fair amount of mud accumulated from the mischief at the end of the video and.

The positive side of this story is that we have witnessed one of the 499 LaFerrari built being used in a less speculative way; but as a counterpoint, puddles and mud are not the best allies of a hypercar, since far more suitable and logical settings exist for unleashing the full potential of the most prized offspring of Ferrari to date.
