A personalised and exclusive Bugatti Veyron to celebrate the model's 20th anniversary

Twenty years ago, the supercar manufacturer broke the mould for these vehicles by launching the Veyron onto the market. This model brought significant changes and raised the experience of driving one of these super-luxury vehicles to levels never seen before. Very few units of the model were produced and now, 20 years after its launch, the brand is announcing a one-off built for a single customer.

This model belongs to the Solitaire programme, which offers the creation of two exclusive vehicles per year. The Veyron Tribute, as this unique model has been named, features a design that draws on the model’s heritage and the most current technical innovations, combining the style that defined the original with a more powerful new engine that adds to the pleasure of getting behind the wheel.

The materials used in its construction are an evolution of those used in the original model, with lighter and more modern elements. The aim is to convey the essence of the Veyron, but bring it into the 2020s. This is the second car to emerge from this project and, although it is based on a platform that is thoroughly proven, it is adapted with customisations requested by the buyer or for the corresponding celebration.

One of the most important elements of this model is the 8.0-litre V16 engine fitted to the car. This unit is equipped with four turbochargers, which raise output to 1,578 CV. This will make it the most powerful Veyron ever built, surpassing every model that preceded it.

However, although the car will be unveiled on 22 January, we still lack several details about what this model offers. For example, there is no information about the torque it will deliver, the weight of the car, or the modifications the chassis must undergo to handle the increase in power.

Although the Bugatti Veyron was a car that broke the mould in 2016, it now, ten years later, offers possibilities that were unthinkable at the time. This will ensure the essence of the model endures and is renewed with great potential.
