ABT adds power to the Volkswagen Arteon with a 336 hp tune

German tuner ABT has launched a tune of the most performance-oriented version of the Volkswagen Arteon that raises output to 336 CV and will leave no one indifferent

The Volkswagen Arteon competes in a segment that includes some of the most recognised saloons on the market, models such as the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé or the Audi A5 Sportback.

The Wolfsburg saloon, however, is a very interesting alternative to its rivals, especially in its most performance-oriented version: a unit with a 2.0 TSI engine producing 280 CV. For those seeking even more exhilarating performance than this variant offers, we are pleased to report that the ABT tuner has launched a modification of the Arteon 2.0 TSI that will leave no one indifferent.

Taking the most performance-oriented version of the range as its starting point, the Bavarian tuner has turned the Volkswagen Arteon into an even sportier car. The 280 CV, 350 Nm 2.0 TSI engine has received a series of revisions that increase its performance considerably: 336 CV and 420 Nm of torque.

The Volkswagen Arteon by ABT has also seen its driving dynamics improved thanks to the new tuning its suspension receives, an element that also introduces new springs. It is worth recalling that the car features a DSG gearbox with seven speeds, as well as a four-wheel drive system.

In terms of styling, the tuner has not wanted to alter the car too much; in fact, the only changes it receives are several wheel options from 19 to 21 inches.

ABT has not disclosed the price of this upgrade kit, but it is worth recalling that the Volkswagen Arteon 2.0 TSI has a base price of 51,180 euros. It would not be surprising if the price of this tune came to around 55,000 euros.
