ABT RS3-S, the spiciest version of the compact Audi

In 2021 the latest version of the Audi RS3 was launched, a model that managed to break the lap record at the Nürburgring circuit in the compact car category. But the most powerful is not always enough, so ABT Sportsline set out to take this model’s performance a step further and worked on it to give it more presence and power.

The exterior has been improved and given more eye-catching elements thanks to the ABT aerodynamic package. Visible carbon-fibre elements with a glossy finish have been added. Among the incorporated elements are changes to the front, a rear skirt and a spoiler at the rear, which increase its aerodynamic capabilities.


To this are added the wheel arch trims, also in glossy black, and the alloy wheels. These are the house’s own, ABT High Performance HR20, fitted with Goodyear Eagle SportSport R tyres in 245/30 R20 size. The design of these wheels makes for a very light weight and helps maintain control of the vehicle.

The interior has also received considerable attention and the seats have been replaced. The ABT and RS3-S inscription is on the upholstery, and the text ABT RS3-R 1/200, which certifies the unit’s serial number, has been added to the door sills. And only 200 units will be manufactured, so this is a completely exclusive and almost, almost, unique car.

To complete the interior look, the model has been fitted with ABT entry lights, personalised floor mats with the ABT RS3-S logo and the ABT start/stop switch.

Engine improvements

The engine improvements have raised the power to 500 CV, with a maximum torque reaching 600 Nm. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 3.3 seconds. Another improvement has been the exhaust sound. By adding two ABT dual-outlet exhaust pipes, finished in matt-black stainless steel and measuring 95 mm, the sound is refined and made even more special.

The top speed of this version of the Audi RS3-S can reach up to 300 km/h thanks to the ABT app for iPhone and Android. With it you can also control other engine functions and elements such as intake air temperature, for example.

The ABT suspension and sports anti-roll bars ensure the correct response of this compact. In addition, it can optionally be fitted with the adjustable V3 suspension, made of stainless steel. This allows the ride height to be adjusted from 40 to 20 mm on both axles.
