ABT XGT: the new supercar with 640 hp, limited to 99 units
ABT once again astonishes the motoring world by turning this R8 into a beast with 640 hp and adapting it for the road for just 598,000 euros

Where adrenaline meets elegance, ABT Sportsline once again surprises us with its latest creation: the ABT XGT. This vehicle, born from the pure blood of a GT2 and with the essence of a true DTM racing team, has become the most exclusive jewel to leave ABT’s facilities in Kempten after a complex two-year development process. With 640 hp, a weight of 1,400 kg, a production limited to 99 units and a look that radiates the power of a racing machine, the XGT is not only approved for road use, but has also left its mark on the demanding Nürburgring circuit.
As a racing team with more than 20 years of experience in the DTM, ABT Sportsline has built up an impressive record with more than 300 races in the championship, achieving countless victories and more than 250 podium finishes. This successful background has paved the way for the ambitious XGT project, which required around 40 individual approvals, taking the homologation process to new levels of complexity over several months. Most surprisingly, the road version of the XGT barely differs visually from the imposing Audi R8 LMS GT2, demonstrating that this is not just a supercar with a racing look, but a genuine race car homologated for everyday roads, where the 99 chassis are already waiting to be uniquely manufactured to the customer’s specifications.

The XGT is not only a power machine, but also a vehicle adapted for daily use. How? Quite simply, ABT has taken care of integrating the standard fuel system, modifying the instrument cluster for civilian use and adding comforts such as a handbrake, central locking and a reversing camera. ABT Sportsline has managed to balance the ferocity of the track with everyday practicality. The control panel, adjusted for road use, controls features such as the electric exterior mirrors, the air conditioning and the indicators, while the special exhaust system complies with the strict emissions specifications of the KBA.
The exclusivity of the ABT XGT is complemented by the collaboration with Scherer Sport, the exclusive dealer and supplier of the vehicle. This partnership, based on a shared passion for motorsport, has led to the creation of four different colour concepts for the XGT, with the possibility of custom variants thanks to unique craftsmanship. With a starting price of 598,000 euros VAT included, the ABT XGT is ready to conquer the roads and the hearts of supercar enthusiasts.

For those who wish to experience the exclusivity of the ABT XGT up close, ABT’s showroom in Mainz will open its doors on the 23rd of November.
Engine
The heart of the ABT XGT beats strongly thanks to its 5.2-litre V10 FSI engine, which unleashes an impressive power of 640 hp, backed by 470 kW of pure adrenaline. This supercar requires high-octane fuel, with a minimum of RON 98 to feed its thirst for speed. The 7-speed S-tronic gearbox and rear-wheel drive ensure a precise and exciting driving experience.

Fitted with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres for exceptional grip, the XGT runs on ABT forged wheels with centre-lock, with impressive dimensions: 11.0 x 19 at the front (ET25) and 11.5 x 20 at the rear (ET20). With a weight of 1,400 kg according to DIN standards and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.4 kg/CV, this supercar reaches new heights of performance. Its 83-litre fuel tank feeds its thirst for speed, allowing the XGT to reach a top speed of 310 km/h, depending on the rear spoiler configuration. Yet the excitement does not sacrifice efficiency, with a combined consumption of 20.7 l/100 km and combined CO2 emissions of 473 g/km, according to WLTP standards.
