AC Cars has added the new AC Cobra Series 4 Electric to its lineup, a fully electric high-performance model that can now be reserved

Ac Cobra Series 4 Superblower (1)

The British company AC Cars is rising from the ashes with a strong start. A good sign of this is the great anticipation generated by the launch of the AC Cobra 378 Superblower MkIV, a model that takes us back to the 60s with a powerful engine featuring modern technology of Ford origin. But AC Cars also wants its beloved Cobra to take part in the electric revolution we are experiencing, and now they can say they are also part of that revolution.

AC Cars thus presents the new AC Cobra Series 4 Electric, and no, don’t be fooled just because it’s a Cobra: this model will be fully electric and environmentally friendly and, as it could not be otherwise, with performance that will remain spectacular. With the Cobra Series 4 Electric, AC Cars joins what other companies have already done with their most iconic models of the past, equipping them with an electric system beneath the original retro styling that continues to captivate us. Examples include the Volvo P1800 Cyan and the Jaguar E-Type from 1960.

As I was saying, the AC Cobra Series 4 Electric keeps the same iconic design so characteristic of this vehicle, which has inspired countless motoring enthusiasts. It can be painted in up to 15 available body colours, and optionally complemented by the two parallel stripes running from front to rear across the bodywork. As for equipment, there is not much to say: the AC Cobra Series 4 Superblower will remain just as spartan as the rest of the range, focusing solely on what really matters: the sensations and the driving.

Under the bonnet of the AC Cobra Series 4 Electric we find an electric system developed by Falcon Electric, offering a not inconsiderable output of 625 CV together with a torque of 1,000 Nm. All this in a vehicle that, it’s worth noting, does not exceed 1,190 kg in weight, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Completing the electric system is a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that provides a range of 322 km and supports charging at 6 kW, although unfortunately the manufacturer does not specify exactly how long charging will take.

The new AC Cobra Series 4 Electric is now available to reserve from the AC Cars website, with a starting price of £168,000 before taxes.
