AC Schnitzer MINI Cooper Coupé, they were already taking their time

AC Schnitzer shows us its latest project based on the most recent MINI to reach the market, the fantastic and attractive MINI Cooper Coupé

It’s been a few months now since the MINI Cooper Coupé has been sharing our streets with all of us, especially in Spain, where one of the most famous vehicles, and the one giving the company the most publicity, is unfortunately the one that Kiko Rivera and his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend drive indiscriminately day after day. On that subject, I’m a bit lost.

Be that as it may, we have to admit that what you see on screen today will not be the last tuning project to use this attractive vehicle as a base, but at least for now, if you look closely, what AC Schnitzer is offering is no small thing, especially from a mechanical standpoint.

Specifically, we are talking about improvements obtained, for example, through the installation of a new limited-slip differential with lock-up of up to 75%, or a new sport exhaust with a chrome silencer available for both the Cooper S and the attractive John Cooper Works version.

Following this update, we find elements such as a new much more powerful brake system with four-piston calipers and fixed grooved discs, as well as a new competition suspension that is fully adjustable, a kit of stiffer springs, an anti-roll bar…

Finally, let’s talk about something much more mundane, such as the new 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels depending on the chosen model, or exterior decoration based on vinyl graphics. Certain changes in the cabin are also worth noting, such as the installation of a shift knob that, thanks to LEDs, tells you your speed at all times, as well as hundreds of aluminium details.
