Aiways U6, this is how it made its debut on World Electric Vehicle Day

The Aiways U6 made its debut during World Electric Vehicle Day. Following the launch of this second Aiways vehicle based on the fully electric modular MAS platform in the Chinese market, its arrival in the European market is now imminent. In fact, the first units have already arrived at the company’s headquarters in Munich to carry out final tests before going on sale.

It is worth highlighting that the new U6 introduces the brand’s new emotional design language, with unmatched interior space and the practical focus of the already available U5. The first images of the model show, for the first time, the European production version looking practically identical to the study model.

The adaptive LED lighting system is not only a further development of the headlights used previously in terms of design, but also in terms of functionality. The same applies to the rear lights. In addition, the LED light bar, which stretches across the full width of the vehicle and sits on the tailgate, gives it a more high-tech visual appearance.

An SUV that embraces new technologies

Alexander Klose, Executive Vice President of Overseas Operations at Aiways, has stated that “the Aiways U6 SUV coupé shows a new language in terms of technology and design. The model has been meticulously developed, bearing witness to the great innovative strength of our young brand”.

It is worth noting that, on the technology side, customer opinions were taken into account during the model’s development process. Under the AI-Tech label, Aiways combines its own developments for the first time, thereby underlining its own experience in producing the U6.

World Electric Vehicle Day represents a global movement working to drive change, a day to celebrate electric mobility and the transition to sustainable transport. For this reason, Aiways has chosen 9 September 2022 to show the real images of the U6 for the first time.
