Alfa Romeo will bring back the 4C for its tenth anniversary

The popular small sports car from the Biscione brand will return in a very peculiar way ten years after it was first presented

Back in 2013, Alfa Romeo unveiled for the first time its 4C, a miniature version of its exquisite 8C, with a monocoque chassis in carbon fibre, weighing 895 kg, a mid-mounted 240 CV engine and a tuning that at the time made it one of the models most highly rated by experts for its fun and effectiveness.

With an approach that is hard to find in a vehicle today, the Alfa Romeo 4C still remains one of the best benchmarks in its small segment, where we can highlight other models such as the Lotus Exige, the Porsche 718 Cayman or the Alpine A110.

To celebrate the 10 years since its first presentation as it deserves, Alfa Romeo has decided to present a project called 4C Designer’s Cut, which allows fans to vote for their favourite of the designs carried out by Stellantis’ Heritage department and, specifically, by Alessandro Maccolini, designer at Alfa Romeo Centro Stile.

An edition for every taste

The three designs created by the designer are called 4C Tributo, 4C Corsa and 4C Leggenda, and each one features a unique and distinctive look to suit the tastes of every fan of the Biscione brand.

The first of the designs, the 4C Tributo, features red paintwork and the iconic telephone-style wheels in gold, all inspired by the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale of the late 1960s.

In the case of the 4C Corsa, the Italian firm debuts matt grey paintwork, contrasted with alloy wheels finished in gloss black and brake calipers painted red, just like the 4C Tributo.

Finally, the 4C Leggenda sports a bright light blue finish, together with 10-spoke white wheels that give it a less radical look than its two siblings, which will also win over many others.

No changes to the mechanics

As for its mechanical side, the upcoming run will likely keep its mechanical configuration unchanged, made up of the 1.7-litre TBi engine producing 240 CV paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
