Apollo EVision S, the new electric concept car to reach the Chinese market

Apollo Automobili is determined to carve out a place in the difficult Chinese market, so it is offering three novelties to break into it.

China is currently hosting the China International Import Expo in Hong Kong. There, vehicles are on display that aim to reach the Chinese market and are therefore designed to carve out a place in that demanding market. Apollo Automobili has presented three concept models, created to appeal to Chinese buyers and make them more attractive to them.

Among them, the Apollo EVision S stands out, a four-door coupé with electric drive that seats four passengers. Even though it has only four seats, the company says it is aimed at families, so it is expected to have a spacious and comfortable interior.

Apollo Motor Doble

The exterior design of this model is intended to offer the same dynamic and aggressive look as the Apollo IE hypercar, although, obviously, aimed at a different type of customer. It has a low nose, large air intakes and triangular headlights, also very large, seeking to offer an appealing image for those looking for a car that delivers a good driving experience.

The battery system remains a mystery, although the configuration of the two motors it is fitted with is known. It uses two axial-flux electric motors mounted in a compact unit. These allow torque vectoring across the axle. This electric drive system is available for sale so that other manufacturers can benefit from the company’s research and apply the system.

As for the charging system, the Apollo EVision S is expected to use the 800-volt charging technology developed by the company, which will greatly simplify charging and reduce waiting time.

Other vehicles

The Apollo EVision S is not the only arrival: it is accompanied by the Apollo EVO, a car that is set to replace the Apollo IE. The aerodynamics reinforce the car’s striking image, with six eye-catching fins rising from the rear diffuser. A three-outlet exhaust allows the engine to deliver an appealing performance.

By the way, this will be a naturally aspirated engine that is expected to deliver more power than the 6.3-litre V12 producing 780 CV that powered the previous model.

Apollo Furgoneta Electrica

The third model on offer is a last-mile delivery vehicle. It is called UME (Universal Mobility Electrified). It also seems this vehicle can be used as a mobile café, which opens up another business possibility with it.
