Ares Design unveils the first production-ready Panther ProgettoUno
Ares Design’s spectacular Panther ProgettoUno is a bold project that, on one hand, sacrifices a Lamborghini Huracan and reinterprets the sports car of the 70s and 80s

The coachbuilder Ares Design is hiding the ambitions of its founder, Dany Bahar, to offer what he could not at companies such as Ferrari. The fact is that this executive turned entrepreneur’s grandiloquence has led him to give the wealthiest clients the chance to achieve their automotive dreams, however peculiar they may seem.
From a Porsche 911 GT3 Targa to the modification of a Rolls-Royce Wraith, passing through absolute personalisation of the Land Rover Defender as an almost assault vehicle, nothing is impossible for Bahar if Ares Design steps in, as long as you have an unlimited chequebook.
A De Tomaso Pantera that has nothing to do with the De Tomaso Pantera
So, for wealthy nostalgics willing to sacrifice an entire Lamborghini in order to travel back in time and obtain a reinterpretation of the De Tomaso Pantera today, not to be confused with the legal heir to the same, the De Tomaso, just one year ago the company based in Modena, the region of luxury automotive lovers and high performance par excellence, presented its project at the end of 2017, and it was not until 2019 that this operation was confirmed under the name Panther ProgettoUno.

We then learned that, handcrafted and practically like a jeweller’s work, the donated Lamborghini Huracan would be disassembled in order to keep some of its structures and receive the transplant of others belonging to Ares Design, such as, to name just one, a carbon fibre body, or the 5.2-litre V10 heart which, thanks to a reprogramming, now delivers 650 CV and produces 600 Nm of torque.
The result of months of work is the first Ares Design Panther ProgettoUno, a commission priced from 515,000 euros, as it accepts virtually any demand or eccentricity from the buyer, and which will limit its clientele to just 21 units worldwide.

Following the manufacture of the first Panther ProgettoUno, over this summer the assembly of further units will be accelerated in succession in order to recover the time lost during the confinement and near-freeze of activity, other than home confinement, that countries such as Italy or Spain have endured in recent months.
Be that as it may, the Ares Design Panther ProgettoUno is no longer a showroom car, although, undoubtedly, some of the 21 unique ‘panthers’ will remain as garage cars kept for static admiration or change hands to the highest bidder at a luxury car auction.
