Arotech, a company dedicated to the production of military materiel with operations in the United States and Israel, presents a new light protected vehicle known as the Tiger LPV, with powerful armor that withstands attacks from small arms or automatic weapons and mine explosions.

This new armored vehicle, based on the platform of the DodgeRam 5500, features a 6.7-litre Cummins turbodiesel engine that delivers around 350 CV of power at 3,000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 880 Nm. It is also capable of delivering power at low revs, which is necessary to move the 8.8 or 10.4 tonnes it can weigh depending on the specifications.

The Tiger LPV has a capacity of between 6 and 9 crew members, with three able to travel up front while between 3 and 6 men ride in the back. As for its specifications, with the most powerful armor it can withstand RPG grenade launchers, and it can also be fitted with a robotic turret on the roof or with the conventional one operated by one of the soldiers; it can include firing ports for shooting from inside. However, the price of this light protected vehicle is not yet known, nor which army might be interested in acquiring it.
