Arrives the Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid, elegant, clean and powerful
The new version of the Volkswagen Tiguan, in plug-in hybrid form, is now available and brings plenty of new features to strengthen the range of this well-known SUV

It has been some time since the arrival of the plug-in hybrid version of the Volkswagen Tiguan was announced, but there were still a few things we did not know about this model. The Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid is ready to succeed in the Spanish market, so we are going to take a brief look at everything this new version of the popular German SUV offers.
Engine and range
The plug-in hybrid version features a powertrain made up of a 1.4 TSI combustion engine that provides the combined system with a power output of 150 CV. This engine is supported by an electric motor equivalent to 115 CV, which together deliver a combined power of 245 CV. This figure allows it to fully meet its purpose and offer the performance that any user of this type of vehicle is looking for.

Alongside the power, the maximum torque deserves a mention, reaching 400 Nm. The top speed is set at 205 km/h in combustion or combined mode and 130 km/h in electric mode, which is more than enough to enjoy driving. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is rated at 7.5 seconds.
The electric motor is powered by the electricity stored in a 13 kWh battery, which in reality has a usable capacity of 9.2 kWh. On a full charge it can cover a total of 50 kilometres in electric mode, so it is very useful for daily mobility, where the average distance driven tends to be around that figure.

When using combined mobility, consumption is rated at 1.8 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres, so it is also a model that proves sustainable without needing to rely on 100% electric mobility.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid comes equipped with the latest driver assistance systems. These safety features include Side Assist, Park Pilot, predictive ACC, electrically folding mirrors, driving mode selector and a panoramic sunroof, the latter optional on the Life trim.
The front light units are LED with dynamic regulation, which can be upgraded with LED Matrix IQ.Light headlights, fitted as standard on the R-Line trim. This trim level also offers other optional elements, including the Area View peripheral vision system, the Discover Media navigation system with an 8-inch screen and internet and streaming services access, Head Up Display and DCC adaptive suspension. In addition, it includes the standard 10-inch Digital Cockpit and the Mode 2 Type 2 domestic charging cable.
The Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid Life is priced at 43,860 euros, while the most complete R-Line trim is priced at 49,525 euros.
