Aston Martin says goodbye to the DBS with the 770 Ultimate, the most powerful model in its history
The most powerful and fastest Aston Martin DBS to date will also be the last DBS: the 770 Ultimate, of which a limited edition of 499 units will be built for markets worldwide.

The super GT from Aston Martin says goodbye in the best possible way: with a limited edition of the DBS 770 Ultimate, the most powerful production model in the brand’s history, of which 499 units will be built for markets worldwide, 199 in Volante form (the one you see in the images) and 300 as the Coupé. But don’t get your hopes up: the order book is already closed, and customers will begin receiving their cars during the third quarter of this same year.
Supercharged V12 engine with 770 CV and 900 Nm of peak torque
The “heart” of the DBS 770 Ultimate is the 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12, with no electrification whatsoever, which is undoubtedly a species on the way out. For the occasion, output has been raised to 770 CV at 6,500 rpm, while peak torque reaches 900 Nm from just 1,800 rpm. These figures have been achieved mainly thanks to a 7% increase in maximum boost pressure. With this engine, the DBS is also the fastest Aston Martin ever: it reaches a top speed of 340 km/h.

Other changes, associated with the increase in the V12’s power, include a special calibration of the 8-speed ZF gearbox, an improvement of up to 25% in front-axle lateral stiffness to gain steering precision, and special software for the adaptive damping. The brakes are the same as on the DBS, with carbon-ceramic discs measuring 410 mm at the front axle and 360 mm at the rear.
As could not be otherwise in such a special edition, the DBS 770 Ultimate also receives design modifications. A standout feature is the 21-inch wheels inspired by the spectacular Aston Martin Valkyrie, which can be chosen in three different finishes, all of them satin. The standard tyres are Pirelli P Zero units in 265/35-21 dimensions for the front axle and 305/30-21 for the rear.

In the cabin, the highlights are the Plus sports seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara with a special padding, although the brand’s Performance seats can also be requested. Behind the steering wheel, the gear-change paddles are made of carbon fibre, and the centre armrest features a badge with the model name laser-engraved.
