A8 Audi Sedans Range / versions
Audi A8 L Security, maximum security

Audi launches one of the most exclusive versions in its entire range of vehicles. This is the A8 L Security, the high-security alternative from the brand with the four rings.
With its armoured construction, this car’s main market is not the average person, but politicians, large business owners and influential individuals.
The Audi A8 L Security comes with a bodywork measuring 5.27 metres, that is, the long-wheelbase version of the A8 model. Although it incorporates numerous technologies unique to armoured vehicles, the Audi A8 L Security is virtually indistinguishable from its siblings in the range at first glance, which is a plus for those potential buyers who value discretion.
This model incorporates all the technological innovations that Audi has introduced in the latest A8 facelift, such as the Matrix LED headlights, standard on the most powerful engine variant.
Speaking of engines, given the increased kerb weight of the armoured versions, Audi offers this model in combination with its two most powerful engines, namely the new 4.0 TFSI V8 and the spectacular 6.0 TFSI W12.

Both are offered in combination with the 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. Their outputs are 435 and 500 CV, which gives an idea of the potential of this very special model.
As for the armouring technology, each A8 L Security involves more than 450 hours of work at the factory, as it is fitted with the highest level of protection possible.
The layers of aluminium and other metals have their thickness increased, with other materials such as Kevlar or polycarbonate also added.
The cabin of this A8 is resistant to grenade attacks, and is even capable of protecting its occupants in the event of an attack with large-calibre explosives.
The windows are reinforced with polycarbonate and anti-spall layers, allowing passengers to maintain a high level of protection in the event of an attack with firearms.
