Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron, the coupé variant is presented as a prototype and announces its arrival in 2021
The newest member of the Q4 e-tron family from Audi is the new Q4 Sportback e-tron, a coupé body for a 100% electric SUV with 306 CV of power

If the SUV range of Audi represented by the letter “Q” is an important pillar for the brand of the four rings, this is something that was not going to be left aside in the electric variants called e-tron, and if we have already seen that the Audi e-tron has begun its commercialization with the classic SUV body and its coupé variant, the same is happening with the imminent Audi Q4 e-tron, which has just shown its Sportback variant.
Thanks to the lines applied to the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron, we might think its dimensions are larger than its classic-bodied sibling, but these only increase its length by 1 centimeter to 4,600 mm, while the height is also reduced by 1 centimeter to 1,600 mm. The width and wheelbase remain the same at 1,900 mm and 2,770 mm respectively.

Aesthetically both versions present a similar front end; it is from the side that we see the main changes, where the roofline curves gently toward the rear through the also-inclined D-pillars to end in a horizontal spoiler level with the lower edge of the rear window, which creates, as I mentioned earlier, a sense of greater length in the Q4 Sportback e-tron. Despite this design change, the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron still features the light bar connecting the rear light cluster, the distinctive rear bumper design along with the stylized horizontal fins and the illuminated “e-tron” logo, all hallmarks of both models. It comes with 22-inch wheels and the new metallic color with pearl effect Kinetic Grey, which takes on a greenish tint depending on the angle of the incident light.
The interior of the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron shares the same design lines as its sibling Q4 e-tron, with the exception of the new roof shape in the rear seat area. Audi does not provide data on the difference in headroom between the two versions, but they do assure that in the Q4 Sportback e-tron we will still enjoy a large, spacious and comfortable interior, which, by not incorporating a transmission tunnel, is a point in favor for comfort and legroom especially in the rear seats of the Q4 Sportback e-tron, something supported by the 2,770 mm wheelbase.

The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron also uses the most powerful electric motorization from its launch, so it will also incorporate on the rear axle an electric motor of 204 CV and 310 Nm of torque, while on the front axle there is an electric motor of 102 CV and 150 Nm of torque, resulting in a combined system power of 306 CV sent to all four wheels thanks to the Quattro traction with electronic control. Under the floor is housed the 82 kWh battery weighing 510 kg, with which we can have more than 450 km of range according to the WLTP test cycle and which, using a maximum charging rate of 125 kW, can reach 80% of its capacity in just over 30 minutes.
The arrival of the Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron will not happen for around another year, but prospective customers now have one more version to choose from.
