Audi strengthens its alliance with IBIL to promote the use of plug-in hybrids
The strategic partnership between Audi and the company IBIL will allow buyers of the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron to receive advice to promote the use of electricity as an alternative energy source and to increase the consumption of plug-in hybrid vehicles

Carmakers are growing their confidence in alternative fuels, and the number of charging and refuelling points for them keeps increasing. Audi has just launched several models that use electricity as their main source of propulsion, such as the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron. To promote the use of vehicles that run on these energies, such as electricity, it is joining forces with other companies related to them. IBIL is a company specialised in charging stations.
This joining of forces aims to make the use of electricity increasingly popular over other types of fuel. The alliance means that this company is the one Audi recommends for installing charging equipment, so both work together so that the equipment gets the maximum performance from the batteries and charging progresses effectively.
The collaboration agreement means that buyers of the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron receive advantages when hiring the installation service for the charging station with IBIL. Once contracted, this company will carry out a study of the necessary electrical installation, the type of power required and the best equipment to charge as efficiently as possible.
Beyond the commercial repercussions, this kind of strategic alliance favours the creation of new charging systems and methods, which end up being important for the future development of new batteries and vehicles. With the presentation of the first plug-in hybrid car from Audi, it has also become known that there is already a charging station management company in Spain, a market that is beginning to become important and is expected to grow in the coming years, with the popularisation of this type of vehicle, both at European level and in our country.
