Battista Pininfarina Electric Cars Supercars
Automobili Pininfarina Battista Targamerica, the electric hypercar now also comes as a convertible
Automobili Pininfarina continues to create one-off pieces for its clients and this time it turns its Battista into a convertible called Targamerica

Automobili Pininfarina continues to push ahead with the Battista, its fully electric hypercar that is only within reach of a select few who can also afford the luxury of ordering it with whatever unique specification they desire. A good example of this is the one-off Battista Reversario that the brand presented last spring, and which is now joined by another one-of-a-kind unit in the world, the Battista Targamerica.
It made its debut to the most exclusive audience during the Monterey Car Week held in the Californian city of the same name. This unique vehicle was created by the brand at the request of a renowned car collector whose name has not been revealed. Furthermore, Automobili Pininfarina took as inspiration for its development one of the most famous cars Pininfarina has collaborated on: the Ferrari Testarossa Spider from 1986.

This Battista Targamerica features the silver colour Argento Liquido Gloss on its bodywork, while the contrasting accent comes from the Iconica Blu Gloss present along the sides and on the spoilers located in front of the rear wheel, as well as polished and brushed anodised inserts and five-spoke wheels with a polished ceramic finish, while the centre section is in black anodising. In case the absence of a roof doesn’t tell us which models we’re looking at, it is also equipped with exclusive, personalised number plates.

For the interior of the Battista Targamerica, a soft brown leather upholstery has been chosen, while the steering wheel and dashboard are black, thus providing two levels of contrast and personalisation. The seat headrests feature the Pininfarina logo engraved alongside a unique decoration and specific design details ordered by the Targamerica’s owner.

These details include, for example, a humidor made of aluminium and glass, in which to keep the right and appropriate humidity for the three cigars it can hold, although I should also say that you’d need a lot of nerve to smoke inside this vehicle. It is worth noting that this box is backlit in the same colours corresponding to each driving mode. The client has also commissioned a bespoke luggage set, upholstered, incidentally, in the same brown leather as the Targamerica’s interior.

Obviously there are no changes at the mechanical level, and the Battista Targamerica continues to use the four electric motors that provide 1,904 CV of power and 2,340 Nm of torque, unique characteristics that allow it to reach 100 km/h in 1.86 seconds and attain a top speed of over 300 km/h. It is also worth remembering that it is equipped with batteries rated at 120 kW, which allow it a WLTP range of 476 kilometres.
