Baldwin-Motion dares to take on the Camaro

The Camaro from Chevrolet is undoubtedly one of the most admired and, at the same time, most desired vehicles of the moment today, unless we count vehicles whose value exceeds 60,000 euros.
It goes without saying that this is an undeniably eye-catching ingredient within an already successful formula, something that does not go unnoticed by tuners who want to carve out a place for themselves in the sector.

Well then, along these lines we have the new project presented by the guys at Baldwin-Motion, a project that will surely surprise you, since although they have not directly worked on the aerodynamics of the whole, apart from certain necessary touch-ups, they have done so on the model’s mechanicals.
Seeking a substantial increase in power, as you well know, in the United States the notion of “take a kilo off before giving me a horsepower” does not apply, so the tuner has opted outright to remove the standard engine block in favour of a new V8 for any of the previously defined trim levels.
In this way we find, for example, the Camaro SS-427, the basic model in which a 427 cubic-inch LS7 V8 has been fitted, whose output stays at a respectable 525 horsepower. I say respectable because if you want a bit more “spark” for your new LS7, the Camaro Phase III is undoubtedly your option, as its power, with the same mechanicals, rises to 600 horsepower.

If for whatever reason you are one of those who isn’t quite convinced by General Motors’ LS7, there is no need to worry, since the guys at Baldwin have thought of everything and have in reserve their Camaro SS-454, a model fitted with the much-admired 454 cubic-inch LSX, with which your Camaro will be able to surprise you with performance well above the LS7, producing “only” 550 horsepower. Within this same range we have the Camaro Phase III at 625 horsepower.
Now, if you want to go one step further, there are still more surprises, since Baldwin-Motion’s flagship version is undoubtedly the Camaro with a twin-supercharged LS7 engine, a model whose maximum output reaches a monstrous 800 horsepower.
