Bentley Bentayga W12, Mansory's new creation pushes its power to 912 CV

Mansory is back with a new creation based on the Bentley Bentayga, but this time on the Speed version and its W12 engine, which increases its power considerably

Mansory Bentley Bentayga W12 (1)

Mansory welcomes 2022 with a preparation that this time takes as its base the Bentley Bentayga Speed, one of the most powerful and fast SUVs in the world. This is not the first time Mansory’s team has used the Bentayga as a guinea pig, since in the spring of last year they did the same with the V8 version, and now it is the turn of the most powerful Bentayga.

As is customary at Mansory, the exterior has been modified almost to the extreme, with a very eye-catching aerodynamic and aesthetic kit made entirely of carbon fibre. However, if we pay a little attention we will notice that they did not go to great lengths either, and have applied the same kit we saw last year for the V8 version. Perhaps, given that this is the Speed version, we might have expected something more distinctive and exclusive for it.

Even so, from the front view we can see that it features a new bonnet with large air intakes, followed by a new grille design with vertical bars, all in black, including the frame itself. The bumper, with its elaborate design, gives it a greater presence thanks to its pronounced lines and greater width, which matches the new wheel arches that also have air intakes and outlets for cooling. From the side we can observe the also elaborate side skirts, the new design for the side gills and the huge 23-inch wheels in gloss black, while the rear is much better looking than standard with the new bumper and a discreet rear diffuser housing the four exhaust outlets, plus the two-section rear spoiler.

If the exterior draws attention while being somewhat discreet for a Mansory, the interior is another story, and I don’t mean the materials used, which as you can imagine match the value and type of car they are dealing with. I mean the chosen colour tone, which creates a strong contrast with the black exterior. Even so, it creates a nice contrast between the chrome or the carbon fibre fitted to the dashboard inserts, the centre console and the door panels. We will also notice the 3D-effect leather inserts on the seats, the door panels and the central armrest.

Mechanically, the Bentley Bentayga Speed comes as standard with a 6.0-litre W12 engine capable of delivering 636 CV together with 900 Nm of torque, which allows this 2.5-tonne beast to reach 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. But, as expected from Mansory, this is not enough, so after some ECU tuning, new turbos and a complete new exhaust line, power soars to an impressive 912 CV together with 1,250 Nm of torque. With these new figures, Mansory’s Bentayga W12 accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and increases its top speed to 323 km/h.
