The BMW Serie 2 Gran Tourer has now arrived in the Spanish market, a compact car offering the option of a third row of seats, intended for children, in the area designated as the boot. This is interesting in a vehicle of its size, since it is a compact car, with dimensions of 4,556 millimetres in length, 1,800 millimetres in width and 1,608 millimetres in height.

Despite this, we are looking at a car with a boot offering 645 litres of capacity, which can be increased to 1,905 litres if the rear seats are folded down. The space can be occupied by a third row of seats, in which two adults can travel comfortably.

Under the bonnet sits one of the three- and four-cylinder engines that make up this model’s range. These engines range from 116 CV up to 192 CV, with consumption running from 6.4 litres/100 km down to 3.9 litres/100 km and emissions starting at 149 g/km and falling to 104 g/km for the most efficient engine in the range.

As for equipment, it is a BMW, so it is a car of a certain level and therefore makes use of all the options the brand has to offer. In front of the driver extends a Head-Up Display that provides all the information needed to drive safely.

Furthermore, being a car designed for families, it includes an entertainment system aimed at children. The myKIDIO application is currently only available in Germany in this first phase of commercialisation, although it will soon reach the Spanish market. It is an application with content suitable for the youngest members of the household, who can enjoy it during journeys.

This model is offered in four trim levels, each with its own characteristics. These are Advantage, Sport, Luxury and M Sport.
