The BMW M5 and other models from the brand, stars of the latest action film in the Mission: Impossible saga.

BMW once again teams up with Paramount Pictures for the new film in the famous Mission: Impossible saga. Starring Tom Cruise, the new instalment “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” will hit cinemas from 27 July. This partnership first became evident in 2011 with “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”. Once again, the action and the high-speed driving scenes are guaranteed thanks to models such as the new BMW M5 and the iconic 1986 5 Series.

In the new film, the infallible agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), his team from the IMF agency (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) and some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) are forced into a race against time after a mission fails. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast, once again under the direction of Christopher McQuarrie.

The agents will have at their disposal a powerful BMW M5, a 1986 BMW 5 Series, a BMW 7 Series and a beautiful BMW R NINE T SCRAMBLER motorcycle to carry out their mission.

The BMW M5 stands out from the rest thanks to its impressive 4.4-litre V8 engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and 600 CV, BMW Performance equipment such as the black kidney grilles and carbon-fibre mirror caps, or the new M xDrive high-performance all-wheel drive. Thanks to the BMW M5, agent Ethan Hunt will have a little less trouble escaping his enemies, thanks to the agility and dynamism a car like this offers.

Meanwhile, the BMW R NINE T SCRAMBLER motorcycle takes centre stage in a wild high-speed chase through Paris, performing agile and daring manoeuvres.
The classic 1986 BMW 5 Series also gets its moment of glory, paying tribute to the many great moments this model has given us on the big screen.

The collaboration between Paramount Pictures and BMW in the “Mission: Impossible” film saga dates back to 2011 with the appearance of the BMW i Vision Dynamics prototype, which brought the beautiful BMW i8 plug-in hybrid and technologies such as the Head-Up Display and Active Pedestrian Detection to the big screen in “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”.

In 2015, with “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation”, BMW and Paramount Pictures joined forces once again, this time featuring the BMW M3, delivering one of the most spectacular reverse-driving stunts in action cinema history. Again, the technologies built into the BMW car, such as the fingerprint sensor for unlocking, offered a glimpse of future technology. Motorcycle enthusiasts will also fondly remember the astonishing chase through the mountains of Marrakech, where Ethan Hunt rides the Motorrad S 1000 RS.

In the words of Uwe Dreher, Head of Brand Communications at BMW, BMW M and BMW i: “The collaboration between BMW and ‘Mission: Impossible’ is a perfect fit. We are proud of our partnership with Paramount Pictures and of our powerful cars and motorcycles helping to enhance this iconic film saga. To deliver thrilling chases, you need cars with outstanding dynamism and manoeuvrability. This is the ideal setting for our most dynamic executive athlete: the BMW M5.”

“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” promises to once again deliver nerve-racking driving scenes and heart-stopping chases with its new BMW models, as well as a nod to classicism with the iconic 1986 BMW 5 Series. A safe bet that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
