BMW X5: prices and equipment in Spain for the new generation

Although the commercial launch of the third generation of the BMW X5 will take place in the last four months of this year, the German manufacturer has already made the general equipment data and the prices the range will have in our country available to the press. My colleague Daniel has already given us the details of the new generation of the X5, a model that can already be considered a veteran, but that will offer a major renewal, both aesthetic and mechanical.

The prices of the new version start at 65,600 euros, which is what the entry-level model of the range, the X5 xDrive 30d, will cost. It is the six-cylinder diesel with 258 hp. If we want a bit more power from the diesel, we will have to raise our budget considerably, since the twin-turbo diesel with 381 hp of the X5 M50d does not go below 98,700 euros.

For those who prefer petrol engines, BMW has offered only one version, with the spectacular 450 hp V8 that will be offered with the X5 xDrive 50i variant; this version will be sold in our country at a price of 91,300 euros. In a few months, other new powertrains will appear, the most notable being the one that will be called the X5 sDrive 25d, the first variant of the X5 that will not be all-wheel drive.

As for equipment, the M division is expected to make its mark and launch a special version of this generation of the X5. While that happens, the X5 will get new additions to the equipment on offer, such as the BMW Night Vision, night vision that detects pedestrians and animals on our route, the Surround View, which offers a 360-degree panoramic view, and new internet services that allow intelligent emergency calls, checking traffic status, browsing the web, writing emails, notes and text messages, or even using social networks.

As standard, the range will include active cruise control, light and rain sensors, Bluetooth for mobile phones, USB device inputs for the audio system, and xenon headlights, which will be standard on the most powerful petrol and diesel versions.
