Bologna Motor Show: Ferrari 599XX Evolution

Ferrari will present the 599XX Evolution at the Bologna Motor Show, adopting an idea similar to the DRS on the rear wing.

Ferrari has unveiled the 599XX Evolution almost quietly, amid the media frenzy of the Tokyo Motor Show and at the height of hybrid and electric model launches. The Maranello house puts the 599XX Evolution on the track with this new interpretation of its 599XX, applying an idea very similar to the DRS of Formula 1 cars.

The operation of the new active rear wing of the 599XX Evolution allows the wing to adopt different angles, to adjust the vehicle’s downforce. This will certainly be noticeable in the top speed figures in a straight line, although in corners the wing adopts a higher position, to generate more downforce.

With the 440 kilos of downforce announced in cornering, there also comes a slight increase in engine power, with 740 horsepower. As if this were not enough, 35 kilos less are announced compared to the previous model of this 599XX.

All these factors are accompanied by new specific Pirelli tyres and shorter gearbox ratios, which benefit acceleration. And if we take into account that the 599XX Evolution retains the electronic stability and traction systems, we are facing one of the best Ferrari from Maranello, without a doubt.
