Bugatti Super Veyron, first teaser

Over the last few months, rumours have been circulating about the arrival of a souped-up version of the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport, the fastest production car on the face of the earth until Guinness took the record away. Therefore, and with the aim of keeping the crown for at least another decade, the executives of the French firm are about to present the Bugatti Super Veyron.
Bugatti showed the photograph that heads this article on its Facebook page, accompanied by a very peculiar title: “The stage is set”. It will be a matter of days, or even hours, before the brand owned by Volkswagen reveals what may be one of the vehicles with the best power-to-weight ratio. It has been said to feature 1,600 CV and a weight of 1,600 kg.
These figures would be feasible thanks to a sixteen-cylinder engine that would increase its displacement to 9.3 litres. In addition, both the bodywork and the chassis of the Veyron would be considerably lightened with the help of carbon fibre and titanium.
With all of this, this new Bugatti would be capable of breaking the barrier of 450 km/h. With its lower weight and that extra 400 CV, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint would drop to an incredible 1.8 seconds, a figure that not even a Formula 1 car is able to achieve.
For now these are only rumours, but we will be keeping an eye on everything brewing at the brand’s factory.
