BYD begins sales of the updated Atto 3 in the Spanish market

BYD unveiled, among other things, less than a month ago the restyle or update that the Atto 3 has undergone, its fully electric SUV designed to compete in the C segment, which now reaches the various Spanish dealerships of the brand with these changes. Apart from these changes, the formula of BYD remains the same: offering a visually attractive product together with outstanding standard equipment for its trim levels.

So, let’s start with the exterior: the aesthetic changes to the revamped BYD Atto 3 are not excessive, and for some you may need to look closely. To spot them, we need to look at the sides, where you’ll see new window frames in black, a D-pillar with a trim piece in the same color that gives a floating roof effect and, also, new 18-inch alloy wheels as standard across the entire range; and finally at the rear, where the long “Build Your Dreams” lettering has been replaced by the shorter BYD badge. The new Cosmos Black color has also been added to the bodywork.

Inside the new BYD Atto 3, the Chinese brand offers a black and grey colour combination for the upholstery and dashboard, which will be available as an alternative to the blue and grey combination already on offer. In addition, occupants will benefit from a standard technology package that has been expanded from the entry-level trim, as we will see below, with features such as NFC digital key technology, a heated steering wheel or a rain sensor.

Therefore, in Spain, the BYD Atto 3 is available in two trim levels, the first of which is called Comfort and comes with very extensive standard equipment, including the following:

The second trim level is called Design and adds the following elements to this complete standard specification:

Mechanically, the BYD Atto 3 undergoes no changes and keeps its 150 kW (204 CV) permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, with a torque of 310 Nm, linked to the 60 kWh Blade Battery, which allows a combined-cycle range of 420 kilometres according to the WLTP cycle. This battery can recover its energy with the 11 kW onboard charger in almost six and a half hours, or go from 10% to 80% with DC charging at a maximum power of 88 kW in 40 minutes.

The price set in Spain for the BYD Atto 3 in its Comfort trim is 38,990 euros and for the Design trim it is 40,990 euros, although both prices can be reduced to 30,490 euros and 32,490 euros respectively if we include campaigns, promotions and the deferred aid from the “Plan Electrifícate” of BYD.
