BYD will showcase eight new models at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
BYD will take three of its brands to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to show its new models and the models that will go on sale in the country

As every year, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will bring not only classic vehicles of historical relevance, but also new models to enjoy behind the wheel in the near future. BYD will be present at the annual event with several of its brands and will present up to eight new models to the discerning audience at this event. The brands BYD, Denza and YangWang will be the ones showing their new models to the British public.
BYD is the main brand and under this emblem the BYD Dolphin G DM-i will be presented, which recently arrived in Spain and will make its debut on the British market. This car will be accompanied by the pick-up SHARK, which will be presented at European level. This pick-up features a Dual Mode Off-Road (DM-o) plug-in hybrid propulsion system. With this powertrain, the SHARK accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and offers an electric-mode range of 88 kilometres. It is built for hard work and its towing capacity is 2,500 kg.

YangWang’s new models
The high-performance brand of the BYD group will present the U9 Xtreme, a vehicle that has already visited Europe on other occasions. On one of them it lapped the Nürburgring in 6:59.157 minutes, which earned it recognition as one of the fastest electric cars to complete a full lap. It also set the speed record for a production car, reaching 496.22 km/h.
Another of YangWang’s new models will be the U7, a luxury saloon that will be available with a plug-in hybrid and an electric motor. It uses a four-motor propulsion system, four-wheel steering and DiSus-Z active suspension.

Denza, the star brand at Goodwood
The Denza brand is the one that will take centre stage within the group during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This brand, dedicated to the group’s high-end vehicles, will present two electric coupés, the Denza Z Coupé and the Denza Z Racing. Both have been designed under the Pure Emotion design language.
The Denza Z Coupé uses three electric motors, which allow it to reach a top speed of 349 km/h. Inside, it has a 2+2 seating layout, which makes it practical for everyday use despite its performance. Its generous boot also makes it interesting as an everyday car. The Racing adds an aerodynamic package to all this that enhances both its image and its characteristics.
In addition, the Denza BAO5, a premium SUV arriving in Europe for the first time, will be unveiled, aiming to take on similar models from other brands. To do so, it has three electric motors and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. In this way, it seeks to offer the characteristics of an electric vehicle together with the versatility of an SUV with a combustion engine.
In addition, this event will mark Denza’s launch on the British market, with the Z9GT and D9 DM-i models. With these two models the brand will establish itself in the country and strengthen its presence in Europe.
