Chevrolet Corvette Z06: The American supercar is revealed
With the presentation of this machine next October, Chevrolet has offered a first preview with the initial unveiled image of its highly anticipated Z06

The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 already has an official date for its world premiere, specifically October 26. To make the wait feel a little shorter, the Detroit-based brand has decided to give us a preview through its Instagram profile, showing us the first unveiled image, without camouflage, of what is set to become the most performance-oriented version of its iconic model until the launch of the ZR1.
More aggression
As we can see in this first image, the new Corvette Z06 will look more aggressive and muscular than the standard version of the current C8 generation. Part of the blame lies with its more sporty new front bumper, with larger air intakes and a sharp front splitter, made of carbon fibre, as it could not be otherwise.
From the side, we also notice new changes in its styling. The new Z06 features more prominent wheel arches, more protruding air intakes and a subtle side skirt that pairs very well with the front splitter already mentioned. In this first image, the new wheels with an exclusive design also catch our attention and suit the new Z06 really well.

Unfortunately, we cannot tell you anything about the rear of the new model, although we can make out a discreet rear spoiler that gives it just the right touch of sportiness without resorting to flashy excess, unlike the one we spotted on its test mule in the photographs you can see.
Inside, we can make out a new dashboard that is slightly more angular than that of the standard model. To see both its rear and its interior, we will have to wait and see whether Chevrolet shows us another preview or waits until its presentation next month.
A heart with character
Under its cover, with the engine mounted in the middle, something that was quite criticised by the model’s purists, we will find a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 that will produce around 600 CV. This engine will be paired with a Tremec automatic transmission that will send all the power of this American eight-cylinder “V” to the rear axle, sounding wonderful, as we showed you last August.
For now, we have no further details about the price or when it will reach the streets, so, just like for more details, we will have to wait for its official presentation.
