China already has its own supercar that rivals the best, and it is called the Jiyue Robo X
This supercar combines the most advanced Artificial Intelligence technology with a design inspired by fighter jets, promising a unique experience in both performance and range.
At an event held at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Jiyue unveiled one of the most spectacular supercars we have seen in a long time. It is the Robo X, a vehicle that leaves no one indifferent, both for its avant-garde design and for the advanced intelligent driving technology it integrates.
The technical specifications revealed by Jiyue during the event place the Robo X among the best in its segment, and make it very clear that Chinese manufacturers are no longer content with selling only vehicles for the general public.

According to the manufacturer, the Robo X is an electric two-seater designed to offer an optimal combination of speed, range and cutting-edge technology. With a range of up to 650 kilometres per charge, which we imagine has been estimated following the overly generous Chinese CLTC homologation cycle, this beast on the track also promises to be capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in less than two seconds.
As for its dimensions, it is certainly not small. Jiyue states that it measures 4.65 metres long, 2 metres wide and 1.19 metres tall, and weighs 1,850 kilograms on the scale. That is a fairly modest weight considering its dimensions, which has only been achieved thanks to the use of a monocoque structure made of carbon fibre and high-strength aluminium alloy (5052).
Artificial Intelligence comes to supercars
The Robo X does not stand out, however, only for its specifications and high performance on the track, but also for the technological level it reaches. Artificial Intelligence plays a fundamental role in this supercar, which features a virtual voice assistant with which the driver can interact constantly in real time. It is called Simo, and it is capable of providing key data about the vehicle, such as engine torque, chassis dynamics or thermal management status, among others.

Jiyue has already opened reservations for the Robo X. Interested Chinese customers can secure a place among the first to sit behind the wheel of this supercar by paying a reservation deposit of 49,999 yuan -roughly 6,500 euros-, while awaiting the final price of the vehicle when it goes on sale in 2027.

The development of the Robo X is the result of a partnership between Baidu, Jiyue’s parent company, and the also Chinese automaker Geely. The collaboration between the two companies has driven several initiatives in the electric vehicle field, including the creation of the flagship brand JIDU. In 2022, JIDU raised 300 million dollars in seed capital and another 400 million in a Series A funding round. The brand later evolved into Jiyue, which in September presented the JiYue 07 model, inspired by the JIDU ROBO-02 concept.
