Citroën Nemo: more safety for the French commercial vehicle

The line that has traditionally separated commercial vehicles from passenger cars has been fading more and more. New vans and similar models are increasingly comfortable and better equipped, making them as safe and comfortable as the cars we enjoy in our leisure time.
The Citroën Nemo has increased its safety equipment to offer not only the comfort that users of these vehicles need, but also the safety required to drive across the most diverse urban and interurban terrain. Road safety is fundamental and should not be limited to vehicles in a certain range.
The Citroën Nemo now comes with ESP and ASR as standard on all versions, while the Intelligent Traction System (CTI) is reserved for the XTR Plus trim. This system helps maintain stability on any type of road surface, including poorly maintained roads that could cause driving problems.
The CTI is activated by a button located under the dashboard and, when it detects low-grip conditions on the road surface, it directs drive force to the wheel with the greatest contact with the ground, so that control of the vehicle is not lost. In this case it replaces the ASR anti-slip system, improving on it.
This system works until the Nemo reaches 30 km/h, at which point it switches off and does not reactivate until it reaches that speed again, remaining disabled until its intervention is needed again.
On the Multispace versions it also features sensors that monitor tyre pressure, informing the driver of any problems arising from air loss or a puncture in each individual wheel.
Prices for the Citroën Nemo start at €13,200 for the HDi 75 version, rising to €15,600 for the top model in the range, the Nemo Multispace XTR Plus HDi 75. In addition, optional equipment can be added which, at a fairly reasonable cost, increases the vehicle’s comfort and safety capabilities.
