CUPRA delivers 84 CUPRA Born e-Boost units with 231 CV to the Guardia Civil
The Directorate General of the Guardia Civil has added 84 units of the CUPRA Born, the 100% electric model from the Spanish brand, with no less than 231 CV of power
In a clear commitment to sustainable mobility, the Directorate General of the Guardia Civil has acquired 84 units of the CUPRA Born, the 100% electric model from the Spanish brand. This new fleet not only modernises the vehicles of the security corps, but also marks a milestone in the transition towards greener transport within public institutions.
The delivered batch consists of two versions of the CUPRA Born e-Boost, which is distinguished by its 170 kW (231 CV) motorisation. The fleet is divided into 46 units equipped with a “detainee kit” and a 58 kWh battery, which provides a range of up to 428 km. These units are specially designed for transporting detainees, with specific adaptations in the rear seats. The remaining 38 units do not have this kit and are fitted with a larger 77 kWh battery, which extends the range up to 570 km.

These vehicles have been acquired through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union, and will be distributed among various Guardia Civil commands across the country.
CUPRA and its commitment to sustainable mobility
CUPRA reaffirms its role as a leader in the transition towards electric mobility, working closely with public institutions and private companies. The delivery of these 84 units to the Guardia Civil adds to other recent collaborations, such as the 112 units of the CUPRA Formentor and the 65 CUPRA León e-HYBRID destined for Spanish law enforcement forces.

With this initiative, CUPRA continues to drive the electrification of corporate fleets, demonstrating that high-performance, zero-emission vehicles are an efficient and necessary solution for the future of transport.
CUPRA Born: efficiency and electric sportiness
The CUPRA Born is the brand’s first 100% electric model, designed and developed in Martorell, Barcelona. This electric compact combines sportiness and efficiency, with versions reaching a range of up to 599 km. Its fast-charging system allows recovering from 5% to 80% of the battery in just 24 to 28 minutes, depending on the version.

The Born e-Boost, available in the Guardia Civil fleets, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, offering an agile and dynamic driving experience. It also incorporates advanced safety and connectivity technology, such as the Connected Travel Assist system, which enables level 2 semi-autonomous driving, and automated parking assistants.
In addition to its performance, the CUPRA Born stands out for its use of sustainable materials in the interior, such as seats made from recycled ocean plastics.
