CUPRA Tavascan Extreme E Concept, the electric prototype for competition
SEAT’s new high-performance brand’s electric competition model offers many features that preview the production model’s look.

The CUPRA Tavascan will arrive soon and will become SEAT’s high-performance brand’s second electric car. But first, the brand has wanted to showcase this prototype, designed to be part of the Extreme E competition. The CUPRA Tavascan Extreme E Concept not only shows the model’s high capabilities, but also previews the car’s definitive look, which will arrive in 2024.
The look is completely new and sets the dynamism the brand wants to impose on this new model. In the body design, flax fiber has been used, a material that is becoming popular and that is part of the most current designs for these vehicles built for competition. It is lighter, more resistant, and offers good performance in the manufacturing of the cars.

A design that stands out
The front and rear design is very different from the one used in the current Extreme E competition. The front look is reinforced with headlights shaped like three triangles, which provide a spectacular light signature. The headlights are included in a frame created with 3D printing, which not only improves their appearance but also allows technology to be integrated into the bodywork.

In addition, 3D printing allows these elements to be changed quickly, even if any modification to the part’s design is needed. Sustainability is present not only in the electric powertrain but also, as I mentioned earlier, some of the carbon fiber parts have been replaced with others made of flax fiber. It is an organic material that can be easily recycled and its carbon footprint is much lower.
Although this material is being incorporated into competition vehicles, production cars will not be long in arriving. More sustainability to improve the vehicle’s environmental impact. The decorative body details ensure that the presence of the CUPRA Tavascan Extreme E Concept is noticed wherever it travels.
Copper-colored details, parametric textures and dynamic lines provide shine and a sense of movement. It doesn’t matter whether it moves across frozen or desert terrain. The CUPRA Tavascan Extreme E will be visible and will stand out on the terrain so that its strength and dynamism can be perceived.
The range the model will offer is not yet known, but we do know that the battery has a capacity of 54 kWh and that it will be located behind the driver. This layout allows a very well-balanced weight distribution and a more measured behavior of the vehicle. With the technology applied to Extreme E competition, CUPRA is advancing in the electrification of its models. So many of the features of these models will be seen in production models very soon.
