Discover the ultimate armoured off-roader, the Inkas Superior APC/AMEV
The Canadian company specialising in armoured vehicles has unveiled an armoured SUV designed to evacuate casualties from combat zones and difficult terrain

We rarely talk about cars intended for security forces. We already know these are not vehicles you can find just anywhere and that they are not for every buyer. But they are so impressive that we sometimes enjoy bringing you one of them. The one we bring you today is a vehicle that comes from Canada, an origin that is not very common either. The vehicle is made by Inkas, a company specialising in building armoured versions of commercial models and which produces some very special cars.
This is not the car you are looking for to pick up the kids from school. Nor even for a trip to the countryside. Its appearance is clearly that of a security vehicle, and it is designed precisely for that purpose: special rescue missions in conflict zones, capable of carrying out a fast and efficient service.

The Superior APC/AMEV can carry up to 14 seated people or 2 seated people and 6 injured, which makes it a rescue vehicle well suited to any situation. It can also be fitted with modules for specific uses to improve its operational versatility. It also has a rear door with a ramp to evacuate injured people more easily.

It has level 7 ballistic armour, which guarantees resistance against large-calibre gunfire, and it is capable of leaving any terrain, however difficult and complicated it may be. To complete its safety, it offers as an option an optical system with infrared and PTZ thermal vision. It has a total weight of 14,968 kg, so the engine is matched to that weight.
It is a 6-cylinder engine that delivers 330 CV of power and a maximum torque of 1,286 Nm. With this power and its weight, it reaches a top speed of 130 km/h. To improve its behaviour during a mission, this vehicle is equipped with a fifth-generation transmission that allows torque to increase up to an impressive 13,543 Nm if extra thrust is needed at any moment. With all this, Inkas aims to serve a wide range of customers, from military contractors and state security forces to any organisation that requires a rescue vehicle for conflict zones.
