Drift Masters, the next challenge for BMW M
The BMW M4 Competition prepared for Drift Masters will produce 1,050 CV and 1,300 Nm of maximum engine torque.

The European Drift Masters Championship has become the next challenge for BMW M. The new BMW M4 Competition will be driven by the Red Bull Driftbrothers, Elias Hountondji and Johannes Hountondji. These two BMW M4 Competitions have been prepared for the new season and are warming up, as the first event is scheduled for July 10 and 11 of this same year.
Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW M, has stated that “I am deeply impressed by what the Red Bull Driftbrothers have achieved in preparing our vehicles, and I wish them both every success for the start of the season. The result also shows what a good basis the BMW M4 Competition provides for competition use. Since the beginning of its development, we had designed the production vehicle so that it would also form the basis of our GT icon, the BMW M4 GT3, which we officially presented during the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring circuit almost two weeks ago”.

The new challenge for the BMW M4 Competition
Thanks to the preparation of these two experts, the BMW M4 Competitions taking part in the championship deliver a power output of 1,050 CV and a maximum torque of 1,300 Nm. Absolute madness! Elias Hountondji, one of the drivers, has said that “it is by nature a true racing engine in a road car, so to speak. When we look at every component of this engine, it is clear that many engineers gave a great deal of thought to creating an optimal design”.
The vehicle also features an optimized and efficient cooling circuit and a second additional radiator at the rear. The aerodynamics have also been modified, as have the new kidney grilles, which also optimize the air supply to the engine. The Driftbrothers have equipped the new BMW M4 Competition with as much carbon as possible: in the front lip, the rear diffuser and the sill covers.

It is important to highlight that the Red Bull Driftbrothers have competed in this championship since 2018, and in 2016 and 2017 they became European champions. Moreover, these two drift drivers have also taken part as guests in MotoGP and at the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix. A real luxury!
