Campers Scotland has carried out this conversion on a Toyota hybrid van to turn it into a camper with three fuels

Camper van lovers have even more reason to celebrate, because there are more and more options for enjoying free time and nature. Not only are brands launching new models, but customisation companies are also working to create camper van versions that can excite buyers. The Eco Explorer Camper Van is the work of Campers Scotland, a company based in the United Kingdom.

The company chose a Toyota Alphard Hybrid van and worked on it to turn it into a daily car or a van for enjoying good weather and weekend getaways. The layout of this minivan does not differ much from the rest of the campers on the market, but it has a difference that highlights its exclusivity, such as the inclusion of two seats in the place that other campers dedicate to the kitchen.

In the case of the Eco Explorer Camper Van, the kitchen is hidden under that third row of seats, which can also be unfolded and turned into a fold-out bed to enjoy the trip to the countryside. In addition, like all campers, it has a roof bed, which allows up to five people to rest in the van. It also has a removable table, and the rear bench can slide forward to make room for all the camping luggage.

As for the drive system, it has a 2.4-litre engine that works together with electric motors to drive both axles. This produces considerable power and also allows the van to run in fully electric mode with a range that has not yet been revealed. But besides this hybrid system, the Eco Explorer Camper Van has an added feature.

This model also has an extra tank for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which gives the camper van a total range of 1,610 kilometres, making it a very suitable vehicle for travelling across the country. This is the Tribid version, which has three fuels so it can move with much more freedom while keeping the “ECO” label in any of the three driving modes. Or, at least, in two of them.

The price of the Eco Explorer Camper Van is around 28,772 euros at current exchange rates. If you opt for the Tribid version, it costs 2,000 euros more, but this slightly higher cost may be offset by lower consumption and the low price of LPG. One more option for enjoying camping that can be enjoyed in European markets. What do you think of this option?
