Electra, Buick's brand for the Chinese market, presents the Electra E7
Buick has launched the Electra E7 for the Chinese market, under the brand it uses for this country, with a design aimed at drivers in the Asian country.

Electra is the brand Buick launched a few years ago for the Chinese market, belonging to the General Motors group. It currently offers the Electra L7 and the Electra Encasa, although it has just unveiled the new Electra E7, which moves away from the classic design of Buick’s models and instead adopts a design more oriented to the tastes of Chinese consumers.
The front features a shark nose design, with C-shaped light units and the main headlights positioned below the daytime running lights. The air intake at the bottom of the front appears to have a dynamic shutter that regulates airflow and optimizes its use during each journey.

The bodywork has a fairly aerodynamic look and appears to use quite a lot of plastic in many areas. On the roof there is a LiDAR radar mounted on top. As far as is known, it will be a sensor for the Xiao Yao Zhi Xing autonomous driving system, which collects data during trips on country roads, motorways and urban environments.

The 18- to 20-inch wheels give it a powerful look, and the side mouldings can be chosen in a dark or chrome finish. At the rear we find a LED light bar spanning the full width of the vehicle, with the Buick badge added. The bumper has an elegant design, and a rear spoiler can be seen above the tailgate. A sunroof is offered as an option, which makes this model more appealing.
This compact crossover is 4,850 millimetres long and 1,910 millimetres wide, with a height of 1,671 millimetres. The wheelbase measures 2,850 millimetres, offering enough interior space to travel comfortably.
As for the plug-in hybrid powertrain, it consists of a 1.5-litre combustion engine delivering 97 CV. It is paired with a 165 kW electric motor, equivalent to 221 CV. This is connected to an LFP battery, and the car is expected to reach a top speed of 180 km/h.
