The Maserati Grecale Cristallo features a unique colour that makes it stand out in the luxury SUV range

The Olympic torch passed through Modena, and this event was used by Maserati to launch the Maserati Grecale Cristallo, a model that uses a bodywork paint designed to surprise. It is inspired by Mount Cristallo, considered one of the most emblematic peaks of the Dolomites, and serves as the basis for designers to play with the style of the model.

The colour is called Azzuro Aureo and combines a blue tone with golden mica flakes. This means the base can appear blue, green, or a combination of both. Lighting conditions change the colour that is perceived and alter how it feels to look at.

The blue and green aim to take us up to the mountain, while the golden accents recall the gold medals of the Olympic Games. The front grille has also been modified and given a decorative touch in the bodywork colour. The 21-inch wheels also have details that place them within this variant.

Inside, there are small changes. The upholstery is Giacchio leather, along with exclusive finishes and materials. There are not many details about the interior, but Maserati has reported that there are floor mats and courtesy lights that project the Maserati logo onto the ground, adding a more attractive touch to the model.

So far only the first ten units have been seen, and they are already available to buyers. It can be had with three different engines. The first offers a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre engine. This unit with mild hybridisation produces 325 CV and carries the designation Modena.

The 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 engine with 530 CV is fitted to the Trofeo version and delivers the full driving experience that defines this version. Finally, the Folgore variant features two electric motors producing 550 CV.
