FCA pays tribute to Star Wars with these incredible TV spots

Fans of the most popular film saga in cinema history have every reason to celebrate. Not only will we be able to enjoy a new instalment of Star Wars, with new characters and, above all, the return of those we loved so much at the time. So on 18 December we’ll be at the cinema. And to celebrate such an important date, FCA has created a series of five TV spots featuring its brands, selling us several models to the rhythm of John Williams‘s fanfares.
In this article you can watch all five commercials, in which the advertisers draw on epic, nostalgia and adventure to place some of their models within the saga and, above all, the new film coming our way. For example, a formation of white Dodge, led by an impressive black Dodge Viper, arrives at the cinema doors. Just like a battalion of Stormtroopers led by Darth Vader. Or perhaps Kylo Ren…
If in that first spot we see characters meant to remind us of Han Solo and Chewbacca, the second draws on nostalgia, following a boy who was dazzled at the premiere of the first film and who, after going to high school, meeting a girl and marrying her, takes the little one to the premiere of The Force Awakens, ready to introduce him to the magic of the saga. With a Chrysler as the companion of his life, of course.
The third spot pits a white Abarth 695 Biposto against a black one on the warm sands of a desert. Tatooine, perhaps? And in the fourth commercial they let loose completely, setting up a space battle between TIE Fighters and X-Wings, with a final surprise to enjoy from a Jeep Renegade.
And finally, the power and strength of RAM pickup trucks put the finishing touch, also from a desert setting, which is also the star of the final instalment. The union between cinema and the automotive world remains something worth noting, and serves as an excuse and argument to make pieces as interesting as these. Who fancies going to the premiere in one of these cars?
