The Ferrari California is the most compact front-engined model from the Italian brand. Its configuration makes it perfect for those who want a sports car with a somewhat higher level of comfort and who are not so keen on demanding power. The California T is not that case, however, as the brand equipped it with a 3.9-litre V8 engine that delivers 560 CV and 755 Nm of torque thanks to forced induction. Characteristic details of Ferrari are the carbon-ceramic brakes and the 7-speed sequential gearbox with steering-wheel paddles. Furthermore, the hard top allows this roadster to be converted into a convertible in just a few seconds.

But can Ferrari offer a more exclusive version of the California T? This task falls to the Tailor Made department of the Italian brand, the one responsible for creating true works of art whose mere existence makes the Ferrari a vehicle of greater value. On the occasion of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Tailor Made has prepared this Ferrari California T, inspired by polo and racehorses, which focuses on improving its aesthetics and will debut tomorrow at the British festival.

Starting with the bodywork, the Ferrari California T Tailor Made has received three-coat Bianco Italia paint with a stripe on the left side of the bodywork in Blu Hellen. This same dark blue tone and Argento Nürburgring can be seen on the 20-inch wheels with five double star-shaped spokes that complete the exterior design of the California T.

Once inside the cabin, Tailor Made has done more extensive work on this California T. The entire interior is finished in Blue Sterling, along with Bianco details found on the sides of the seats, the door panels, the transmission tunnel and the armrest. The most notable feature, however, is the new high-tech material used for the seat upholstery, called by Ferrari ‘Mycro Prestige’.

This material, specially designed for the Italian brand, is very durable, flame-retardant, water-resistant, porous, breathable and offers a very high level of grip. Furthermore, thanks to the blend of different fibres, with a thickness of just 0.7 mm, ‘Mycro Prestige’ weighs only a third compared with traditional leather.
