Ferrari confirms it: the Ferrari 812 VS will be the most radical variant of the 812 Superfast

Ferrari has just issued an official statement which, following its leak, has given us more details about the most radical variant of the 812 Superfast.

We have been following the different test mules of the most radical variant of the Ferrari 812 Superfast for a long time. And, as tradition dictates, the V12 flagships of the Prancing Horse brand have had a more exclusive and radical version since the 599 GTB. With this premise, the 812 Superfast was destined to have this derivative, whose name is already known and whose arrival is expected imminently, as previewed in this official video that has been leaked.

And so, on the occasion of the birthday of Enzo Ferrari, which was this past February 18th, the Italian firm has decided to carry out an exclusive announcement. We say exclusive because it was only aimed at those potential customers of the future, more radical 812, a model that will be subject to limited production to which the most special customers of Ferrari will have access.

During the video, reference is made to the birthday of Il Commendatore and to the Fiorano track, where the tests of the new Ferrari models are carried out. Indeed, it is precisely here that most of the test mules have been spotted for what is probably the last Ferrari to feature a naturally aspirated V12 engine.

“You will have to wait a little longer,” they tease in this official Ferrari statement, which leaves not only its potential customers eager, but us too. We must acknowledge that the Italian firm has done a good job of keeping all relevant information about the long-awaited Ferrari 812 VS secret.

That’s right, this is the name the successor par excellence of the evergreen Ferrari F12 TDF will adopt. Its initials refer to Versione Speciale, meaning “special version” in Italian. With this premise, and as is usual in these cases, even more impressive performance is expected from Ferrari’s exclusive supercar, comfortably surpassing 800 CV thanks to a significant reduction in weight and aerodynamic improvements.

Given that the video is official and focuses on the preview of the 812 VS, it is reasonable to expect that it will be presented in the remaining days of this February. It will be a special edition limited to a number of units that is likely related to the years Enzo Ferrari would have turned, something we assume given the date on which this video was released, and that special mention will be made of the founder of the brand.
