Ferrari FXX homologated for use on German streets by Edo Competition

Edo Competition has managed to acquire one of the 30 Ferrari FXX models built, and to test its capability it has homologated the car designed solely for the racetrack.

Let’s recall that the FXX has a V6 V12 6.3L engine with 800 CV of power which, together with the gearbox from F1, made it impossible to drive on public roads, which is why the Italian company offers owners of the sports car the opportunity to drive it regularly on the Fiorano circuit.

That is the reason why the German tuner does not miss the opportunity and, with a revision of the engine ECU, the exhaust valves, as well as the fitting of new brake pads and a restrictive catalytic converter, the car complies with German traffic regulations.

For the moment the car will remain the property of Edo, and it will be hard for the tuner to sell it, but if any of the remaining 29 owners, including Michael Schumacher, wishes to drive their car on the streets, they know who to call.

Although this is not the first time we have seen the FXX homologated, this version appeals to me more because it keeps the car’s original colour, although the white contrasts take away a little of its distinction.
